Discover Kansas Arts (DKA) is a statewide grassroots organization that promotes and connects Kansas’ artists, arts organizations and arts businesses through marketing, networking, tourism, advertising and education. Your membership provides you a voice that encourages public investment in art whether through purchases, appreciation, preservation or education.

As a member you receive quarterly e-newsletters, frequent e-notes, and the benefits of statewide advertising. On the DKA website, you will be listed with a brief description of your art or business with a link to your website; or, you may purchase a "member page". You may also promote exhibits, performances, workshops, classes, etc. on the DKA Events Calendar.

DKA is structured with a Board of Directors and an Executive Director. Meetings are held quarterly rotating through the SW, NE, SE, NW and Central areas of the state.

Prior to 2006, Discover Kansas Arts was called Tourism Arts Alliance of Kansas (TAAK). It was formed in 1999 by the Kansas Department of Commerce and Housing, Division of Travel/Tourism as one of several niche-marketing groups configured to promote travel and tourism in Kansas – an area DKA continues to advocate.

Operating funds for Discover Kansas Arts are from memberships which are $25 per year, member web pages and donations.

During its inception, Discover Kansas Arts received Kansas Arts Commission assistance with  Grassroots and Technical Assistance grants; and an Attraction Development grant from the Kansas Department of Commerce and Housing, Division of Travel/Tourism for developing an arts tourism website which resulted in the current website, www.DiscoverKansasArts.org.

Discover Kansas Arts welcomes artists of all media, art businesses and art organizations, as well as art supporters, to join us.
